I think that Tiltowait was using the discounted merchants as an example, and what he was implying was that there would be a reward associated with unlocking a title.

For instance, the Sunspear Legend title requires 10,000 Sunspear Promotion Points. This lofty goal imay be comparable with the Savoir title which requires 10,000,000 faction. What if obtaining this goal would open up an elite mission with unique drops? Perhaps even containing an armor NPC at the end of the mission? Or perhaps even add a special mysterious hero to the rooster?

In my opinion Omo has the right idea you get things for you titles so therefore you are probably going to get something for the max sunspear title. As to what I dont know but an elite mission sound really nice or something along that line.

As to the talk about you getting alot already then so what? Do you go for titles so ppl can see your title or for you to know? So now there is more than just an ego thing, you get something for doing it. When someone wearing the maxed whatever title I normally say something like nice or wow. You can now use what you earned to do more than feel good and thats not much to some ppl but then we all get different things out of this game right?

i agree, what could they really give for something that doesnt have much challenge to it? owning a town had you in competition with anyone else who wanted the town so it was hard to keep it and when you lost it you no longer had the access to an npc.

just seems to me people want something for nothing

I wouldn't mind getting a special emote for a high sunspear rank, or having low ranked npc sunspears salute everytime I walked past. Don't think we'll get any extra rewards, and don't really care. And they had better not tie rank to being able to get 15k sunspear armour, cause that'd be annoying. Well, not that bad I guess, you'd just have to take some time out to depopulate whole regions, but I was going to do that anyway to level up my heroes.

during the preview there were no advantages aside from being able to continue the story and bragging rights. However in the inside there is talk of Effects of raising certain titles, so rewards are on the way.
